Seark falls twice to Western Oklahoma
Game 1
SEARK Softball had trouble keeping up with Western Oklahoma State College in a 10-0 loss on Saturday at Southeast Arkansas College.
Western Oklahoma State College jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Freeman singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Lively drew a walk, scoring one run.
Western Oklahoma State College added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Serrano homered to center field, and SEARK Softball committed an error, each scoring one run.
Ball took the loss for SEARK Softball. The hurler went five innings, allowing 10 runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking six. Shotts started in the circle for Western Oklahoma State College. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one.
Coleman and Lopez each collected one hit for SEARK Softball.
Serrano, South, Woodress, and Freeman each collected one hit for Western Oklahoma State College. Serrano, Kowalik, and Freeman each drove in one run for Western Oklahoma State College. Western Oklahoma State College had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Kowalik and Lively led the team with two walks each. Western Oklahoma State College stole five bases in the game. Western Oklahoma State College didn't commit a single error in the field. Thompson had the most chances in the field with five.
Game 2

A double by Kowalik on the sixth pitch of the at-bat put Western Oklahoma State College on the board in the top of the first.
Lively hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the second for the Western Oklahoma State College.
A single by Thompson extended the Western Oklahoma State College lead to 3-0 in the top of the third inning.
Blythe took the loss for SEARK Softball. The starting pitcher went seven innings, allowing six runs on 10 hits, striking out four and walking one. Locke stepped in the circle first for Western Oklahoma State College. The hurler surrendered two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out one and walking three.
Coleman and Randerson were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for SEARK Softball. SEARK Softball were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Domangue had the most chances in the field with four.
Thompson drove the middle of the lineup, leading Western Oklahoma State College with three runs batted in. Thompson went 2-for-2 on the day. Kowalik went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Western Oklahoma State College in hits. Lively and Serrano each collected multiple hits for Western Oklahoma State College. Western Oklahoma State College turned two double plays in the game.
Next up for SEARK Softball is a DH against Southern Arkansas University Tech on Tuesday.
