Sharks take 3-4 games from ASU Mid-South

Game 1 (W 19-6 5 inn.)
Coleman drove in five runs on four hits to lead SEARK Softball past Arkansas State Mid-South 19-6 on Thursday at Arkansas State University Mid-South. Coleman doubled in the third inning, scoring three runs, and hit a home run to left field in the fourth inning, scoring two.
SEARK Softball got on the board in the top of the first inning after Randerson doubled, scoring two runs, and Alexander singled, scoring three runs.
Arkansas State Mid-South tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to an error, a ground out by #7, and a double by #5.
In the top of the second inning, SEARK Softball went back into the lead after Randerson hit a sacrifice fly, and Domangue singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
A double by Coleman, and a single by Reed helped SEARK Softball extend their early lead in the third.
Six more SEARK Softball runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 17-6. Bryant doubled, scoring one run, Feicht tripled, scoring one run, Coleman homered to left field, scoring two runs, Randerson hit a solo home run to center field, and Reed hit a solo home run to left field.
Ball earned the win for SEARK Softball. The pitcher surrendered three hits and six runs over five innings, striking out five and walking five. #22 stepped in the circle first for Arkansas State Mid-South. The starting pitcher gave up 15 hits and 17 runs (six earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking two.

SEARK Softball lost despite out-hitting Arkansas State Mid-South eight to six. Coleman and Lopez each collected two hits for SEARK Softball.
Arkansas State Mid-South got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after #44 singled, scoring one run, and #6 homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Arkansas State Mid-South scored one run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to center field by #15.
SEARK Softball tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a triple by Domangue, and a single by Lopez.
Blythe started in the circle for SEARK Softball. Game 3 (W 6-3)
SEARK Softball were victorious against Arkansas State Mid-South 6-3 on Sunday at Southeast Arkansas College.
Sharks opened the scoring in the first after Reed singled, scoring two runs.
SEARK scored one run in the bottom of the second on an inside the park home run by Feicht.
Ball earned the win for SEARK Softball. The hurler gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking six. #22 stepped in the circle first for Arkansas State Mid-South. The pitcher gave up nine hits and six runs (five earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking two.
Reed provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led SEARK with four runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 3-for-3 on the day. Feicht collected two hits for SEARK Softball in four at bats. Coleman stole two bases. SEARK stole four bases in the game.
#22, the number nine hitter for Arkansas State Mid-South, led the way with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-2 on the day. #17, #6, #1, #22, and #44 each collected one hit for Arkansas State Mid-South. #15 paced Arkansas State Mid-South with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game.
Game 4 (W 5-4)
It came down to the wire on Sunday at Southeast Arkansas College, as SEARK Softball grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 5-4, over Arkansas State Mid-South. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the seventh when Blythe singled, scoring one run.
A single by S on a full count put Arkansas State Mid-South on the board in the top of the third.
SEARK Softball took the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the third thanks to doubles by Domangue, and Lopez.
Coleman hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the fourth for the SEARK Softball.
S doubled to center field, which helped Arkansas State Mid-South tie the game at four in the top of the seventh.

Coleman and Randerson were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for SEARK Softball. SEARK Softball were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Bryant made the most plays with six.
S drove the middle of the lineup, leading Arkansas State Mid-South with three runs batted in. The infielder went 3-for-4 on the day. A collected two hits for Arkansas State Mid-South in three at bats.
Seark will host ASU Three Rivers for the next conference series starting Thursday at 1pm.
