SEARK Baseball and Softball Season Openers Delayed Due to Inclement Weather
The opening games for Southeast Arkansas College (SEARK) Baseball and Softball teams have been delayed due to adverse weather conditions over the weekend.
The rain has made playing conditions unsuitable, necessitating a rescheduling of the opening matchups.
The SEARK Shark Softball team, originally scheduled to kick off their season this weekend, will now make their debut on Monday, January 29, 2024. The team is set for a doubleheader against Mississippi Delta Community College at Moorhead, Mississippi.
The Sharks Baseball team, on the other hand, is eager to begin their season at home. The revised schedule now indicates that the Baseball team will commence their season with an exciting doubleheader against SouthArk at the Relyance Athletic Center in Pine Bluff. The first game is slated to start at 1:00 p.m. and will be a 7-inning matchup. Following a brief intermission, the second game will commence 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first, featuring a 9-inning contest.
